Anyone thinking what to do with those Halloween costume after
that the holiday is over is asked to think donating those costumes to the Madison
Public Library. The library on Keep Street expects to require many "dress-up"
clothing items for its Summer Reading Plan in the upcoming year, which would
sport the theme, "Be Creative: Express Yourself at Your Library."
One of the program's weeks upcoming summer would feature "dress-up"
days and dramatic productions that would need many unlike costumes. The library
is on the guard for dance performance outfits; conventional garb from an overseas
country, such as an Irish dancer's dress, or a sports code that no longer fits.
Old jewelry and hats as well would be esteemed. For information, call the Children's
Services Department at the library at (973) 377-0722, ext. 3.
