1. Choose your theme

Initially narrow it down by choosing a theme. Some instances of themes are Science Fiction, Classic Halloween, TV Characters, Cartoon/Superheroes, renowned People, Screen Gems, Movie Monsters, and Historical Figures etc. Another type of theme is to figure out if you wish for your Halloween costume to be spooky, sexy, inspiring, frightening or funny.

2. Narrow it down

Now that you’ve selected your theme, it’s time to narrow it down more. If you’ve decided on a humorous theme, what makes you laugh? If you’ve opted for TV characters, start by listing your much loved characters.

3. Twist the idea

Your mind is most likely now swirling with names of actors, chronological figures, sci fi personalities or superheroes. Great! But anybody can wear Superman costume and go to a party. It’s the girl who comes as a guy in Superman costume who drags the attention and the prizes for most striking costume. Incase you don’t find your ideal costume for Halloween Party for the first time, begin from step one again, but prefer a different theme. With a bit of brainstorming, you’ll land on the best and striking costume for your Halloween party and you’ll have loads of fun!
